hCG Do's & Don'ts
DO
- Drink plenty of fluids
- Follow the 500 calorie fasting. If you eat more you will sabotage your weight loss
DON'T
- Drink your calories (unless it is a recommended and approved protein shake)
- Forget to weigh in daily and check your ketone levels - record them on the paperwork provided.
ABSOLUTE NO-NO'S
- NO simple carboyhdrates. Simple carbs turn to sugar very quickly in your system, they will not sustain you and generally turn to fat. If you eat these items you will quickly feel hungry. Simple carbs also lead to cravings. Some of the items in this food group are good for you and will be ok in the mainenance stage of your diet.
- Items in this food group include but are not limited too: Breads, rice, crackers, potatoes, fruits, processed dairy such as yogurt and certain vegetables such as carrots and most white colored vegetables (including white onions).
- No added fats, cook with non fat cooking sprays such as Pam. Avoid even the "healthy" fats such as Olive oil and omega fatty butters. If you add fat to your diet you will burn off that fat, not the fat on your body!
